3. Maintenance Intervals
Initial Oil & Filter Change: At 1,000 km or 1 month (whichever comes first).
Regular Maintenance Schedule: * Engine Oil Replacement: Every 12,000 km or 1 year.
Oil Filter Replacement: Every 24,000 km or 2 years (Note: Many service providers choose to replace the filter at every oil change as best practice).
Drive Chain Check & Lubrication: Every 1,000 km.
4. Proper Oil Level Check Procedure
Start the engine and let it idle for 3 to 5 minutes.
Stop the engine and wait 2 to 3 minutes for the oil to settle.
Hold the motorcycle upright on level ground.
Check the oil level through the crankcase inspection window:
The oil level should sit comfortably between the upper and lower level marks.
If it is low, remove the oil filler cap and top up using the recommended oil up to the upper mark. Do not overfill.
5. Drive Chain Slack
Target Chain Slack:30 – 40 mm
Measurement Method: Measured vertically at the lower run midway between the sprockets, with the motorcycle on its side stand, transmission in neutral, and no weight on it.
